"It was 1979 . . . I wanted to run the Honolulu marathon (26.2 miles) . . . the running boom had taken off, and if I wanted to run a marathon, I needed to lose 30 pounds. So, I joined the oldest weight loss organization in North America and made it happen.

"I finished the race but swore I would never run another. However, I saw that taking these dedicated steps in my life, changed my life journey. I realized that pure desire wasn’t enough."

You need cheerleaders in your life to make your business and personal goals come to life. You will also need to be your own cheerleader. If you’re not rooting for yourself, who will?

People come into our lives for a reason, season, or a lifetime, and sometimes we struggle with these challenges and have to keep reinventing ourselves to overcome the obstacles.

In this presentation, Fran will show you how to stay on top of both your physical and mental health with a food plan for life—one that will help keep you happy, stress-free, and able to achieve your goals.

About Fran:

With a bachelor's degree in sociology, speech, and theatre and a minor in psychology from Calumet College of St. Joseph's in Whiting, Indiana, as well as a master's degree in counseling psychology, Fran has been a social worker and counselor at most of the U.S. Air Force bases at which her husband was stationed.

Fran joined TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) in 1979 to lose 30 pounds in order to run the Honolulu Marathon (26.2 miles). So happy not to carry that 30 pounds on my heart anymore, she has been a TOPS ambassador for seven years. Fran has a daughter who is a nurse and two grandsons in college.

How important is good customer service?

Customer service has an impact on both existing customers and potential customers. Did you know that 68% of consumers would react by telling family and friends about a bad experience by posting it on a social network. And almost 50% of customers claim they would switch to a new brand after just one bad experience!

Join Yolanda as she discusses:

- Knowing your customers

- Listening to your customers

- Thinking long term

About Yolanda:

Yolanda Bejarano is the National Legislative and Political Field Director for Communications Workers of America, a labor union that represents workers in many different sectors including communications and information industries, news media, airlines, broadcast and cable television, public service, higher education, health care, manufacturing, and more.

She is the Vice Chair of the Arizona Democratic Party, serves on Congressman Ruben Gallego's Women's Advisory Council, served on Senator Mark Kelly's transition team, and serves on the board of Poverty's Pets.

Learn how to take advantage of low-cost or even free opportunities.

Don’t let limited resources stifle your creativity.

“80% of success is just showing up”-Woody Allen

Showing up also means …starting. It’s easier to make progress on a project if you just start it.

Every business, regardless of its size wants to maximize its advertising, promotion and marketing dollars. This is especially important for small businesses with limited resources.

I will present steps that any business can implement to take advantage of low-cost, or even free opportunities.
