Leaders are the driving force behind impactful enterprises and initiatives that shape our communities.

These visionaries are most effective when they strategically take scalable and sustainable approaches—building and harnessing the power of networks and platforms.

In this presentation, you will learn about how:

  • Networks mobilize collective resources for greater impact than doing things on your own.

  • Platform models enable innovation and efficiency through shared infrastructures.

  • Combining networks and platforms drives transformative local solutions at scale

About Camille:

Currently residing in Phoenix, AZ, Camille is a Fulbright-Humphrey Fellow at the ASU Cronkite School of Journalism on a news and media business track, while concentrating on entrepreneurship, sustainability, strategy and leadership at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is concurrently the youngest newsroom captain in the Philippines, directing content production and product innovation at Philstar Global Corp., the digital arm of the STAR Group, the top publisher in the country.

At Philstar Global, Camille helms editorial operations behind Philstar.com, a highly successful digital news provider with a monthly audience of more than 30 million. Under her leadership, the organization earned several recognitions, among which were Jaime V. Ongpin citations for best practices in digital reporting in 2018, 2020 and 2021. The Center for Media Freedom & Responsibility feted her the 2020 Award of Distinction in Journalism for "the integrity of her editorial leadership of Philstar.com and the innovative spirit that has explored the ways of presenting news on cyberspace."

In 2022, she was one of the four handpicked delegates who completed a State Department-sponsored mission against disinformation across the United States under the International Visitor Leadership Program or IVLP. Camille also built content operations behind another prominent publication, the new Interaksyon, in 2018. The former TV5 website was transformed into a digital news outlet that reimagines news reporting for younger audiences.
