Impact for Enterprising Women, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is committed to empowering women through education by offering $1,000 scholarships annually to women returning to school. In the 2024-2025 academic year, wwe awarded scholarships to two women attending Pima Medical Institute and two women working with Helping Hands for Single Moms. Additionally, we donated nearly $1,000 to Unlimited Potential to assist individuals in covering the costs of their G.E.D. testing.

The Importance of Education for Adult WomenEducation for adult women, particularly those returning to school after raising children or experiencing a gap in their education, is a transformative opportunity that benefits not only the individual but also their families and communities. Community partners like Impact for Enterprising Women play a crucial role in making this journey accessible and impactful through scholarships and funding programs such as GED testing.

Key Benefits of Education for Adult Women:

  • Economic Advancement: Higher education or certification opens doors to better job opportunities and increased earning potential. For instance, earning a GED can increase annual income by approximately $9,000, while obtaining a bachelor's degree can boost lifetime earnings by up to $1.1 million.

  • Role Modeling: Mothers pursuing education serve as inspiring role models for their children, fostering a positive attitude toward lifelong learning and academic achievement.

  • Improved Family Outcomes: Research indicates that children of mothers who complete higher education are more likely to achieve higher educational levels themselves, creating lasting intergenerational benefits.

By providing scholarships and funding opportunities, Impact for Enterprising Women helps ensure that adult women can access these transformative educational experiences, ultimately strengthening families and communities.
